You can commission Neiley to paint a portrait of your pet, or anything for that matter. All you need to do is email or TEXT a photo or two. 207-215-8680 Neiley will share her thoughts about your photos and estimate a finish date (when it can be on your wall). Once you have shared your photo(s), Neiley can make notes of any changes, additions, subtractions, colors you'd like.
Neiley will schedule your painting day(s) and sketch your canvas for your review.
If all looks good, a 10% deposit is collected.
Neiley will share photos or even a video of the painting process with you AND there is no expectation for you to purchase your painting until you LOVE it.

How long does it take? Once we schedule your painting in the calendar, the painting process itself usually takes a day or two. Neiley will keep you posted when it is on the easel.
Do I have to bring my dog in? No. If you would like Neiley to take a reference photo you can. Otherwise, your photos are great.
Do I just text you a photo? Yes. All she needs is one good one, but if you have a couple that have things you like she can easily take some bits from one to add to another or even take things out.
Can I get it in a few days? If there is an unscheduled painting day in Neiley's calendar, she WILL squeeze you in!
Do I pay in advance? Not necessary. A 10% deposit is collected when you approve a sketch. After that, the balance isn't due until you LOVE your painting.
How do I pay you? Neiley can email you an invoice for easy, secure online payments. Venmo. Paypal. Check. Sometimes even a barter. Incremental payments are available as well. Whatever works for you.
Can I order prints of my painting? Yes, Neiley can custom make them for you and they are available in the same sizes and pricing as her other prints. They make a great, affordable gift for friends and family.
Can you ship it to me? Of course. Currently we only ship to the Continental U.S.. Most small paintings ship for $20 or less.
Things to consider when choosing a photo:
The background in your photo doesn't have to be great. Neiley can minimize details / change it to a basic color. If you have a specific scene or background that is important then that can be included.
Choosing a photo that shows the character of your pet or person usually makes the best painting. (Ie. You probably want your black lab painting to look like YOUR black lab somehow).
Photos that make you happy can become paintings that make you happy.
You can pretty much expect a "painterly" version of your photo.
Neiley paints in the gallery / studio so you can stop in to see your painting in progress. Or, you will get photo updates of the painting in progress. You may even get a timelapse which is a 30 second video of your painting coming to life.
For extra short deadlines, Neiley can paint with acrylics so it will dry quickly. Oils take time to dry like a week or two. Both options are great and look pretty much the same. You can let her know if you have a preference.
